We’re excited to share the latest update on the campaign to stop the South Tahoe Vacancy Tax – No on Measure N. The Coalition, Keep Community First, along with widespread community support, successfully defeated the measure and prevented the election of one of its primary proponents. And it wasn’t close—voters overwhelmingly rejected it, with 75% voting NO.

As we did when this measure first qualified for the ballot, we encourage you to share this victory with your clients, contacts, and prospects. REALTORS® played a vital role in this campaign, standing up to protect property owners’ rights in South Lake Tahoe. We successfully stopped a measure that could have forced owners to rent or sell their properties due to a significant tax increase, safeguarding everyone’s right to privacy and freedom from burdensome bureaucracy.
