Greetings Fellow Life Travelers:
Back on track after about 10 days in the desert! My annual (mostly) winter visit with a couple of friends. Chilly when we arrived but warmed up for a lovely stay. Two fashion shows (it was the annual Fashion Week in Palm Desert), the first a retro showing of Pierre Cardin styles (other-worldly) and lovely caftans made with antique scarves. The other show was clothes from several stores on El Paseo. We also had a front row table for a fun dinner-theater at PS Underground – great food and our show was Las Vegas with good singers and band. Had my annual catchup with friends who live there for a few lunches in Palm Springs and Palm Desert. Tried for tickets at Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage but totally sold out – that one is definitely ‘plan ahead’. Nice to have leisurely mornings with no responsibility until heading for lunch! Of course, there was a little store damage – no room in the suitcase for anything more, so now we look for Fed Ex to arrive! Dancer had her own vacation with Dena, who has the dog walking company I use, so she had lots of play time and attention from Dena’s two kids who love her. Now back to biz and a look at what happened these last two weeks!
