Tahoe Update

Greetings Fellow Life Travelers:

Last Saturday was amazing!  I spent a good part of the day at Thunderbird Lodge, starting with a cruise on Thunderbird Yacht with several clients and Bill Watson, Executive Director and Curator, who filled us in with the fabulous history of the property, the boat and Captain Whittell.  The Lake didn’t disappoint with a blue bird day for our Tahoe friends who had never been to the property let alone on the beautiful boat.  Following we had a delicious lunch barbequed on Lone Eagle grill – the grill rescued from the wrecking ball when Lone Eagle restaurant was demolished earlier this year.   For updates on the history of this significant home on Lake Tahoe, sign up on Facebook where Captain Whittell posts notes – Thunderbird Lodge and Yacht.  Now for car update.  It got totaled – drat – but I found a twin in Jackson, MI with way fewer miles than mine that is on its way.  Lots of pets, thank yous and a tear for the one I’ve had for 11 years with 223,000 miles.

Another fun event this week started Thursday night with the arrival of 10 colleagues from across the country to visit Lake Tahoe for the first time!  Great walk on the beautiful shore from Incline to Sand Harbor Friday, then a fabulous tour with Bill Watson at Thunderbird Lodge, complete with huge history and tunnel tour to viewing of the yacht, drinks and fabulous hors d’oeuvres.  Saturday included a property tour of three beautiful Chase listings, casual lunch in Incline then a finale of cocktail sail with Tahoe Sailing Charters that evening. First time in years entertaining those who have never been to Tahoe!  Now back to biz and what took place in real estate this last week.

Would that I could write so well.  Have a great week and see you next time!
