Greetings Fellow Life Travelers:
Thunder, lightning, rain, repeat and repeat! What a few days with rain most welcome, especially since we had lightning. And that gives me excuse to use my favorite GSD poster below. Between blasts, we had a fun Knights of the Vine event at a private home in Northstar featuring wines of Spain. Our wine expert gave a wonderful review of a wine from six different areas, and we sampled each with an appropriate pairing at each station. Sprinkles be damned! Not a drop spoiled the party. Then it was down to biz during the week showing condos in Incline Village and negotiating – still – a condo purchase on the North Shore. And Amie and I brought another lakefront to market at a great price of $4.895 million with shared pier and development opportunity. So, let’s see what else happened in the market this week.
Residential Real Estate – week 8/23 – 8/29
- Tahoe Sierra MLS – North/West Shores & Truckee. New Listings – 43; Escrows – 33; Solds – 36
- Incline Village/Crystal Bay MLS. New Listings – 4; Escrows – 11; Solds – 10
- East Shore, NV MLS. New Listings – 4; Escrows – 4; Solds – 3
- Reno/Sparks MLS. New Listings – 87; Escrows – 110; Solds – 110
End-of-month recordings typically show an uptick in most areas. Tahoe Sierra had two new lakefronts on the market, ours and another on the West Shore at $11.9million, no pier. Incline had a nice lakefront condo listed at $6.85million go to escrow. And Martis Camp had an escrow listed at $11.495million.

- Housing market in general has been stagnant this summer, with the Northeast and Midwest bucking that trend. However, a more balanced market is emerging with opportunities for those with patience and flexibility. - JSX (JetSuiteX) coming to Truckee! Plan is for once a day, four days a week, service to Bay Area and LA Basin on its 30-passenger jet. Great way to travel! I’ve used it twice to Burbank from Reno; outta Truckee will be amazing!
