Greetings Fellow Life Travelers:
Brrrrr – nights are getting nippy as they drop below freezing! Time for socks in bed. Of course, focus is on upcoming Hallowe’en festivities that began Friday night with parade and trick-or-treating in downtown Truckee. Gremlins were chilled as who would ever want to cover up a costume with a parka? Parade ended up at the Community Arts Center for more treats and fun. Just because Truckee’s Historical Haunted Tour is sold out doesn’t mean you can’t explore the spooky parts of Truckee on your own. Take in the history on a self-guided downtown Truckee historic tour; rent a Ghost hunting kit from the Truckee Library; or saddle up to a barstool at the Truckee Hotel (Moody’s) bar where paranormal investigators have said that it’s haunted. Who knows… maybe a bit of whiskey will get them talking. Let’s see what’s talking in real estate this last week.
Residential Real Estate – week 10/19 – 10/25
- Tahoe Sierra MLS – North/West Shores & Truckee. New Listings – 24; Escrows – 27; Solds – 14
- Incline Village/Crystal Bay MLS. New Listings – 3; Escrows – 8; Solds – 3
- East Shore, NV MLS. New Listings – 3; Escrows – 4; Solds – 1
- Reno/Sparks MLS. New Listings – 113; Escrows – 124; Solds – 73
Tahoe Sierra had a lakefront re-list at $15.495 Million. This came on originally in July 2021 at $23.5 Million, about $10 Million overpriced in my opinion. It has since been reduced several times and now relisted with another agency. So, it’s getting closer. Will be interesting to see where it lands. A new build I listed at $2.995 Million a couple of weeks ago in Gray’s Crossing went to escrow. And, Martis Camp had an $11 Million sale, down from original list at $13.25 Million. Reno had four homes listed over $3 Million go to escrow.
