What’s new in Tahoe and Truckee Restaurants?  Here are a few to consider:

South Lake Tahoe has several:

Jimmy’s Restaurant:  Located at The Landing Resort and Spa.  Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with a 1,500 -bottle wine vault.

Maggie’s Restaurant:  Located at the new Desolation Hotel.  Walks the line between casual and elegant, open for Brunch and Dinner.

The Woods:  Al Tahoe.  Elevated modern gastropub with unique twist on cuisine.  Plethora of TVs, high-end cocktails, great music.

Tahoe City:

The Wine Collective at the Boatworks is not a restaurant but a new adventure for wine aficionados.  It holds events and is open from 1 – 7Pm Sunday thru Thursday, 12 – 9 PM Friday and Saturday.

Truckee:

Craft and Logic Taproom – Downtown Truckee.  Over 30 taps, rotating taps of hard-kombucha, cider, wine and non-alcoholic options.  Menu features small plates and it has a large bottle shop.  Focus is on conversation and community!

Buoy & Trap Seafood – Northeastern-style seafood offering.  Pioneer Center.  Market for quality offerings as well as fabulous, limited casual offerings to enjoy while shopping – or take-out.  Open from 11:30 to 7PM, closed Sun/Mon.

Tangerine Bistro – Downtown Truckee – same owner as popular Great Gold (Italian).  This one features classic French cuisine with intensive French wine list.  Closed Sunday and Monday.

As an aside, had dinner at Spindleshanks (Brockway Golf Course) recently and can’t recommend it enough.  Fun, extensive menu with great prices and wonderful food.

Bon Appetite!
