Tahoe Art Haus provides one of the few opportunities for movies, serving snacks and drinks along with fun movie selections. Plans for a new boutique hotel are in the works. The Tahoe City Marina offers marine services as well as privately-owned dockominiums. And, several restaurants offer lakeside/lakeview dining. The Safeway complex has a pier for shopping by boat.
