Tahoe Update

Greetings Fellow Life Travelers:
So much for the big snow event! A sprinkling of rain, a light layer of snow on the high mountains…that was it. Then clear
skies predicted for Thanksgiving week. I love the saying, “Just shoveled 3’ of ‘partly cloudy’ off my deck”. So, there we
are, waiting with baited breath to see what we’re gonna get – just like the box of chocolates. New admonition for at least
the Truckee area: Keep skies light free, as in,” turn off/turn down your exterior lights (and interiors if not using) to keep our
skies open to the stars”. Always something to create new rules. I do agree that we don’t need to invade the world with
bright lights shining upward, but I happen to like ‘light’, so will be a good girl and monitor the hours I have my trees lit.
Most of us are good about exterior lighting in general, keeping them down-faced. Now let’s see what we faced in real
estate this last week.

choices in Town. One of the top philanthropists in our Region, the Raley’s family supports our local
communities through its stores as well as personally. Last week they hosted a beautiful reception at “the Best
Bar in Truckee” for the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation and District Boards and our wonderful
doctors.

Quartet from Canada – “bringing classical music to contemporary ears”. Following their Bay Area tour, they
