Nice showing with new client this week, zeroing in on a condo that – surprise – went to contract the day before she arrived. Happens often…something on the market for a long time gets big interest all at once. Energy – how it works! Now we’re in back up, hoping that first offer will not complete. Big fun news in real estate this week is that Chase closed the Mourelatos Resort in Tahoe Vista, representing the buyer and seller (different agents) with buyer being Martis Camp. List was $29.5 M, sold for $25.75M. Will be interesting to see how they move with this as it’s been a viable commercial enterprise on the North Shore for years. Rumor has it that Lahontan is going to purchase Martis Camp’s existing Beach Shack further down the street. However, do not count on the rumors….they’ve been rampant at Tahoe for years with most a big fat egg. Now let’s see what was true in real estate this week.

Tahoe Sierra had a lakefront listed at $7.75M sell at $7.4M, a higher price than agents predicted! Reno had Montreux home listed at $5.95M go to escrow.

- Crystal Bay Auction – bids open Dec 4, auction Dec 18. Dated but impressive lakeview estate that’s been listed at $18 M – large main house, several guest cottages. Opening bids anticipated $5 – $7M. LMK any interest.
- 11th Tahoe Film Festival – Dec 4 – 7. Impressive line up of films being shown at Incline Village Cinema and Northstar Cinemas. Proceeds benefit UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center.
- Tahoe City’s gearing up for a festive holiday season with Santa’s visit on Nov 29 with photos at Boatworks Mall from 12 – 4PM; Dec 5, 2 and 19 for late shopping until 8PM. Downtown Winter Lights are getting an upgrade too!

- Resort Opening Dates –Palisades – hard to tell from website. Northstar shows Highlands Gondola open. Sugar Bowl – Nov 28. Heavenly Valley – not open yet.
