Tahoe Update

Greetings Fellow Life Travelers:
Whirlwind week for me attending a fabulous REALM™ conference in Miami for 3 days, then a quick trip to Napa
for a lunch meeting with two other REALM™ members, and visit with and send-off for good friends in Novato heading to a
Danube cruise. The Global Collective was amazing, starting with lovely accommodations on the water at the Mandarin
Oriental and fun opening gathering at an amazing nightclub just opened for us. Conference content was impactful, kicked
off with a presentation by Chris Voss, a renowned ex-FBI hostage negotiator whose success was focused on empathy.
That theme popped up in several presentations over two days. In addition to seeing colleagues I had met at last year’s
conference, I added many new ones across the country – all valuable resources for real estate referrals. Agents in this
organization are invited to join and represent a fabulous collaborative group of 575 so far with 111 brokerages in over 40
states and 11 countries represented. We were 208 at the Collective, and I still didn’t meet everyone. Our weekly one-
hour Zoom meetings are packed with great information on numerous subjects along with presentations of special
properties listed for sale. “Powered by Human Connection,” REALM™ is the largest data consolidator for HNW and
UHNW individuals.
I got back to a bit of new snow and rain with warm weather returning next week. The lawn and garden should be
totally open to sunlight several days from now. Dancer’s north-facing yard not so much, but she can no longer get over
the fence! Now let’s see what happened in real estate this week.

A Fleur du Lac condo came on at $5.95M and a Martis Camp home, listed at $14.295M sold for $12.2M. Sell to List
prices in the TSMLS are still running about 97%. The other markets were pretty quiet. However, Chase had a nice
Crystal Bay lakefront sale at $26M, listed in 02/22 for $35M and reduced to $29M.
 Local/Real Estate/Luxe

Enemies by Arthur C. Brooks. Tag line is – How Decent People can save America from the Culture of
Contempt.
o Cinco de Mayo – its history. https://tinyurl.com/2p8hz2vb (And the US is the top market for tequila.)
o Bentley Residences – Sunny Isles Beach – Miami. Impressive presentation at the conference. There can’t
be underground garages so this project, along with Porsche Residences, has a unique elevator that takes
your car right up to your residence – complete with glass wall so you savor it from your living room!

at funerals.

o “The best exercise for the human heart is to reach down to lift someone up.” Tim Russert

life that define us but what we do while in them.” Mordy Quotes
o My mother taught me about Receiving: “You’re going to get it from your father when he gets home.”
o Will Rogers: 1) If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. 2) Lettin’ the cat outta the bag is a whole lot
easier’n puttin’ it back. 3) When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.

o When your work speaks for itself, don’t interrupt. Henry Kaiser

Best Wishes,

Trinkie
