What is it like to live in Tahoe City?
Tahoe City is a walkable, waterfront town on the California side of the lake, in Placer County. It is the historic hub of the West Shore and North Shore and the gateway to Palisades Tahoe, the ski area that combines the former Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.
South of town, the West Shore runs through Sunnyside, Homewood, and Tahoma, with many of the lake’s historic estates. To the northeast, the North Shore (Dollar Point, Cedar Flat, and Carnelian Bay) offers protected coves within a few minutes of Tahoe City’s shops and services.
What should you know before buying in Tahoe City?
